Any person who has been convicted of a sex crime after December 25, 1993 must register as a sex offender in the state of Wisconsin. A juvenile who has been adjudicated delinquent on or after December 25, 1993 for a sex crime must register as a sex offender.
A sex offense in Wisconsin is defined as any of the following:
Sexual exploitation by a therapist
Sexual assault
Sexual assault of a minor
Sexual assault of a student by a school instructional staff person
Engaging in repeated acts of sexual assault of the same minor
Incest
Incest with a minor
Sexual exploitation of a minor
Causing a minor to view or listen to sexual activity
Child enticement
Use of a computer to facilitate a child-sex offense
Soliciting a minor for prostitution
Exposing a minor to harmful material or descriptions
Possession of child pornography
Being a child sex offender who works with children
Abduction of a minor
False imprisonment, if the offender is not a parent
Kidnapping if the victim was a minor and the offender was not their parent
