The Vermont Sex Offender Registry Law requires all persons convicted of sex crimes to register. A non-resident sex offender who moves to Vermont or a person on works in the state or attends school in the state must also register. The crimes that require offenders to register include:

Sexual assault
Aggravated sexual assault
Lewd and lascivious conduct
Sexual activity by a caregiver
Kidnapping of a minor
Lewd and lascivious conduct with a child
White slave traffic
Sexual exploitation of children
Procurement or solicitation for a prostitution
Second or subsequent conviction for voyeurism

The following information is required from the registrant and is posted on the website:

Name and aliases
Date of Birth
Physical description
Town of Residence
Photo
Date and nature of conviction
Name and telephone of the Dept. of Corrections office in charge of the registrant.
Whether or not the registrant has received and completed treatment.
Whether or not the offender has an outstanding warrant for the offender’s arrest.
