The New Mexico Department of Public Safety maintains the New Mexico Sex Offender Registry for the state. The registry was created to inform the public regarding the location of sex offenders in the state. The site is designed to increase and promote public awareness. The sex offender registry is pursuant to the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.
