My name is Rich Gorman. I am a father of 2 wonderful children that were born out of love. I’m married to a loving, caring, and nurturing woman, Sacha Gorman.
I’m very close to my parents and in-laws, whom live 1 block from each other (whew that is a little too close for my liking by hey, that’s life).
Just about every weekend our families get together. We play games, watch movies, and share things together that normal families share together.
And it’s not by any means a picture perfect family. We get into arguments over trivial things like who is going to make the turkey for Thanksgiving. At the end of the day we are a normal family from humble beginnings.
For a living I invest in tech companies. This career provides a high level of autonomy because outside of investing, my only duties are to consult and act in an advisory capacity. I do not participate on a management level in any of my investments and do all of my work from my laptop computer, which allows me to focus 100% of my time on the vision and high-level strategy of these companies. That’s where I add the most value.
I live by the philosophy of “the harder you work, the luckier you get.” I work very hard, sometimes up to 18 hours a day. On my down time I spend time my family, exercise, read, watch movies, play video games, and relax.
I’m an optimist that loves life. Business is my hobby.
No matter how successful I am or what good I do in life, I am acutely aware of the fact that I have a dark cloud that will follow me: the fact that I have to register as a sex offender.
The fact that I have to register on this list has been widely misunderstood and is used from time-to-time to harass my family, friends, and colleagues.

Facts About Rich Gorman’s Sex Offender Status:
– Rich Gorman has to register as a sex offender.
– Rich Gorman has to register as a sex offender because he was convicted of 1 count of sexual battery with no injury likely by a jury. The alleged victim was over the age of 18 years old and a college student at Florida State University, the same school Rich Gorman was attending at the time.
– The first trial ended in a hung jury, 5 jurors voted not guilty, 1 juror voted guilty. Prior to the 1st trial Rich Gorman was offered a probation plea bargain that he turned down.
– During the 2nd trial the State Attorney offered Rich Gorman a 12th month probation plea bargain after the alleged victim committed perjury on the stand. The alleged victim had originally told police that she was grabbed and physically pulled out of Gorman’s vehicle, dragged up a flight of stairs, pulled into the apartment, forced down and then violently raped in his college apartment.
While on the stand during the 2nd trial the alleged victim was confronted about the possibility of a security camera in the college apartment complex where the alleged incident occurred. When the alleged victim discovered that a camera may have captured her going up the stairs, she admitted that she was caught lying and subsequently she had to change her story about getting physically dragged up a flight of stairs, pulled into the apartment, forced down and violently raped.
Caught lying due to discovering that an apartment security camera captured the events of that evening, the alleged victim changed her story to:
The alleged victim admitted that she willingly got out of Rich Gorman’s vehicle, with no physical force, and walked up to Rich Gorman’s apartment behind him, and was NEVER grabbed or pulled or dragged. Instead of getting forced violently into the apartment the alleged victim admitted that instead she voluntarily walked into the apartment. Once inside the apartment the alleged victim then admitted that Rich Gorman left her alone to go use the bathroom, and at that time she decided to make herself at home.
The alleged victim then went on to admit that she watched TV in the apartment for awhile with the defendant, where she was led to the bedroom and started to have sex with the defendant. The alleged victim claims that she was trying to say no in the beginning, but it wouldn’t come out. When the “no” finally came out the alleged victim admits that Rich Gorman “STOPPED IMMEDIATELY” and asked “what’s wrong.” This is a stark contrast to the alleged victim’s original story of a violent attack and rape.
– The alleged incident occurred over 10 years ago when Rich Gorman was a junior in college. It was 2 weeks after his 21st birthday.
– The jury’s verdict of guilty was OVERTURNED by 2nd Circuit Judge Tim Harley. The judge entered a downward departure plea bargain well below guideline sentencing because he believed the verdict would get overturned on an appeal and believed the evidence pointed toward innocence so strongly that in good faith the jury’s verdict could not stand.
– Rich Gorman turned down the 12-month probation plea bargain of “attempted” assault despite the fact that he faced a natural life sentence in prison.
– Harassing Rich Gorman over the status of “sex offender” does not hurt or bother him. He is harassed every day of his life over this status.
– Harassment stemming from the sex offender status hurts only 2 innocent children that have done nothing wrong to anyone. They get ridiculed at school and have lost friends over the harassment that has ensued due to the conviction.
– Rich Gorman was administered a polygraph examination by FDLE Special Agent Tim Robinson RE his innocence. Special Agent Tim Robinson is the guy the State Attorney’s office used in criminal cases and is known for failing almost all criminal defendants.
Rich Gorman passed FDLE Special Agent Tim Robinson’s polygraph RE his innocence. Afterwards FDLE Special Agent Tim Robinson stood up and shook Rich Gorman’s hand, and stated “your 100% innocent. A grave miscarriage of justice has occurred here.”
– That State Attorney’s office attempted to bring another complainant forward, which was unsuccessful. The SA was reprimanded by the Florida Bar for this after the Florida Bar found probable cause for prosecutorial misconduct, fraud, and deceit used in the case. The Florida Bar called the SA’s prosecution a “win at all costs philosophy that flies in the face of a prosecutors mandate to do justice. Your youth and inexperience, while mitigating, were not a defense. The Board hopes that time and experience have proved beneficial and that the behavior exhibited by you which led to the complaint will never be replicated.”
– Rich Gorman attended Harvard University’s Extension School and successfully completed 1 ½ semesters. The only reason why he dropped out was that his daughter’s mother was tragically killed in a car accident.
– A judge in Orlando granted Rich Gorman sole custody of his daughter.
– A judge in Pennsylvania granted an order prohibiting the maternal grandparents from seeing their grand daughter after they repeatedly harassed Rich Gorman, including waving letters of his sex offender status to neighbors and telling the parents of his daughter that he was a dangerous sex offender…which ultimately only hurt their granddaughter and her ability to make friends.

– Rich Gorman vigorously pursed Estaban Steven Yaniz for harassing his family over the registry status last year. The court provided a $100,000 judgement against Yaniz and thereafter Yaniz filed bankruptcy. Gorman is in line for collections and has pending contempt motions on Yaniz, seeking his arrest.
– Rich Gorman and a full-time legal team that vigorously pursues people that use the registry to harass, intimidate, or threaten his family. The reason why he does this is to protect his children and wife from the backlash of this harassment.
– Rich Gorman has never been accused of molesting kids or anything pedophilia related. Publishing content in this regard is patently false and hurts 2 innocent children’s ability to make friends and lead a peaceful life.
If you use the registry to harass, intimidate, or threaten Rich Gorman, he will not respond to you. Instead it will get handed over to law enforcement and his legal team will do all of the heavy lifting to discover who you are.
